Don’t Tell Me I Can’t
I am excited to launch my book: Don’t Tell Me I Can’t, The Journey From Farm Girl to CEO. The book will launch September 9th, 2024, on Amazon and I can’t wait to share it with the world. My entrepreneurial journey these past few decades has been an incredible experience. Like all journeys, there have been good and bad times but failure was never an option. An amazing aspect of our country is that you can be a farm girl, an immigrant, a waitress, the daughter of a Fortune 500 CEO, or from any background and still get a shot at going after your dreams.
This book is my story, the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you. More to come soon!
Stay safe and healthy,
Sandra James

Should you be checking the social media accounts of your candidates?
I tackled this question today on video because I think it’s easier to discuss it that way versus writing about my reply. All of us are doing background checks, but rarely do we find anything on those. We have the potential to catch way more misconduct issues on social media.
Is Illinois’ GIPA the Next BIPA?
Perhaps in response to recent success pursuing claims under Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the plaintiffs’ bar is now also pursuing class actions against employers under another unique Illinois privacy law that provides a private right of action and statutory damages—Illinois’ Genetic Information Privacy Act
